ENDORSEMENTS

Neighbors from all around are joining with us in voting YES for Antioch Public Library District by mail or in person on November 3, 2020. Add your name to our list of Endorsers by emailing us today or using the form. Share your “Vote YES for Antioch Library” endorsement on your Facebook page or the social network of your choice. We’ll be happy to share on our page, too!

The Antioch Public Library is asking for voter approval to issue bonds to upgrade and modernize the Library, something that is long overdue.  If approved, it will cost me about $50.00 more a year on my property tax bill.

I use the Library regularly and have for many years.  I have seen many other seniors like me as well as many young boys and girls who appear to be regular users.  It is rare to not see several people of all ages in the Library when they are open.

It is tough trying to live with the problems the virus has imposed on all of us.  The library has helped us deal with these problems and is a bargain second to none.

I will support the referendum with my yes vote.  I hope that you will also.

Success! Message received.

The library’s story time has been such an important part of our kids’ foundation for not only reading, but friendship and community building as well.

We look forward to story-time craft classes every time a new schedule comes out and can’t wait to get registered. Our boys have learned the value of reading and creativity through these classes among others provided by library for pre-k kiddos.

The library has been a place of gathering for friends, both the kids and the moms (parents) alike. We cannot wait for more programs and plan to be involved in more this upcoming year.

I am a mother of toddlers who frequents the Antioch Library. I have been bringing my children there since they were two months old. There are fantastic programs for all ages and I feel a sense of community just being there.

Through the library and the programs, I have made friends for my children and myself. Pre-Covid it was a peaceful place to get together outside the house. Honestly, the library is a great way for parents to keep their sanity. So many parents I have talked to list The Antioch Library as one of the brightest spots in our town. It is a great resource for people of all ages and economic statuses.

It's only going to raise property taxes approximately $50 a year. To me, that's not much to help out this great community asset.
